About Plymouth, MA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Situated in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, Plymouth is a town with an estimated population of more than 58,300 residents. Known as “America’s Hometown”, Plymouth is New England’s oldest municipality and one of the country’s oldest. Lying 40 miles south of the city of Boston, the town has an active port and is served by Plymouth Municipal Airport.
The town is a tourism and economic hub of the South Shore region. While tourism is the major industry, telecommunications, scientific and technical research, healthcare and real estate are also primary industries. Plymouth has been experiencing significant industrial and commercial growth in recent times.
An industrial park is set to open outside of the town center, while North Plymouth and Downtown each have become commercial centers. The development of residential projects is on the rise, with The Pinehills among the most prominent. It consists of more than 1,000 residential units, a shopping village, a country club and two excellent golf courses.
Plymouth Rock is believed to be the landing site of the Pilgrims, making it one of the town’s most famous attractions. There are also several parks and up to 11 private and public golf courses, that offers residents with an array of opportunities for recreation and enjoyment. The town has a vibrant arts and music community, which includes the Driftwood Folk Café and Plymouth Center for the Arts. As for education, primary and secondary education is managed by the Plymouth School District.
The town receives 50 inches of rainfall and 36 inches of snowfall per year. With the average high in the summers around 81 degrees, it’s important to have a reliable and well-functioning air conditioning system to maintain comfortable temperatures. In addition, since the mercury drops as low as 19 degrees in the winters, it’s recommended that you invest in a heat pump to keep yourself and your family warm during the winter season.
